My review is way overdue. I had two daughters that went to Kiddie Ridge from the age of 1-5 (until they started Elementary school). They are now 10 and 15 and we loved Kiddie Ridge. They had such a wonderful experience there and were always loved and well taken care of. They also learned so much (educational wise). From the owners Maria and Mr. Alex to the front office staff Ms. Janet and all of the teachers they were all GREAT!!! My daughters would even get upset that I picked them up too early...LOL...If you're looking for a clean, caring, and impeccable childcare go and checkout Kiddie Ridge. Trust me you won't be disappointed. I have recommended them to my co-workers that were looking for childcare and not one of them have ever had a bad experience. They will always be like family to us.
We absolutely love Kiddie Ridge. My 10 year old remembers very fondly her years there, my 5 year old wakes up asking if she can go to school Saturday morning and see her friends and her teachers. Most of the teachers have been there long time. It feels like a family. When it was time to enroll our 5 year old in day care we didn't even think twice of going back. Just call them and take a tour and see for yourself.
My daughter grew up at a kiddie Ridge Academy. It is a wonderful place to grow up in. They have been like a second family to us! The place is impecable and the staff is friendly, welcoming and professional. I will always be grateful to everyone there for providing the foundation my child needed to succeed in elementary school (AND SHE IS THRIVING! ). I highly recommend this preschool. Go see for yourself.
Parents, your child’s education and safety is of utmost importance. This business has had so many teachers leave and the director Maria Ortega, is tired. She does not involve herself with the daily concerns of the daycare. I never met the director when enrolling my child but after watching them carefully for a week in addition to investigating them by asking parents who worked in business within its proximity, I was advised to run and run fast to a legitimate, curriculum based preschool. A random teacher I have never met insulted me, yelling and screaming at me when I refused to sign an accident report without further information. The woman tried to grab my hand aggressively while I was leaving with my child.
But if you are a fully Spanish speaking parent who is not concerned with your child’s development and preparation for kindergarten, you would enjoy it immensely. They only speak English to African Americans unless you indicate you’re an English speaker, They serve Jello as a “hot” breakfast and they do not communicate your child’s daily menu or learning activities so you’re unaware of what goes on all day. I pulled my child out within a week and ran fast, to a legitimate reputable preschool. There I happened to meet 4 former teachers of Kiddie Ridge, I told them where I was coming from and the look on their faces spoke a thousand words.
Parents, with all that is occurring in the news we need to guard our children, don’t mind the claim that they have been located behind Winn Dixie for 15years. They also have failed to upgrade the facility in 15years. The teachers are not educated, hence the reason for a lack of curriculum, this is glorifies babysitting. Oh and the toys! All old personal items from families, old purses, shoes clothes etc. .. I cannot express how unsanitary and unkept the place is.
Good luck
My daughter was in this school for almost a year. Everything Started out great. Her first teacher was AWESOME. They looked like there was a lot of staff and it made me feel more secure leaving my daughter there. After a couple of months she switched classes, my daughter would always come home with scratches and bruises on her FACE, getting bit from other kids. This happened 3 times. MIND YOU THEIR ARE 3 TEACHERS IN THE CLASSROOM. The only thing they do it make a "REPORT". so i removed her from school.
